Help me decide

A friend of mine gave me these last two weeks. I was so excited because besides food, books are what I love most!. Unfortunately, I had to resist the temptations since the assignments are piling up last few weeks and I was super busy. Now that I am free, I am going to read one of them. So help me choose. Which one to read first?

Seek the truth

There have been rumors spreading about Starbucks Coffee is not Halal for quite some time now, especially on facebook. Although there are many articles posted in facebook and other sites saying that it is not Halal, I don't quite believe it since the sources are not convincing enough. I mean how come it is said to be non halal when there are halal logos by JAKIM at the Starbucks Coffee branches and also in the website?.

Being an all time Starbucks Frappuccino lover, I really need to be sure so I checked the JAKIM and Halal Malaysia website today and here's what I found :

Since JAKIM and Halal Malaysia are the gov organisation which are responsible for giving out the halal certificate so I think this is the truth.

I don't understand why there are individuals who just easily believe anything they saw or read and worse, they just easily spread it everywhere. This is not good especialy when it comes to the Islamic principles pertaining to Halal and Haram.

There will always be rumors spreading and floating around about so many things, so it is important that we don't just simply believe it without any investigations or evidence. If there are rumours or anything you are curious about, have the courage to always check and seek the truth.

Let The Images Speak

It has been months since I last updated.. I know there might be some of you who think that I might as well shut my blog down. Hmm. The thing is I bought myself a diary and I jot everything down in there. This is not a make up excuse okay, seriously. Though I have a diary now, but I'll try to be fair okay! :)

Anyway, I celebrated my 21st birthday last week. My birthday this year was extra special to me because I get to celebrate it with my dearest family. Well, not all of them but it was better than the last few years. I used to just celebrated my birthday with either Musa or my college friends. Of course it was good, but it is always nice to be with my own family.

Enough talking, I'll just let the images speak. So here goes :

Yes, I am getting older and I'm not a young teenager anymore. Honestly, I do freak out when I realize that I am one year closer to being old. Negative thought aside, I thank god for granting more time for me to live my life. I do hope that as I get older, I will be wiser.

Since Ramadhan is coming nearer, I'd like to wish you a blessed Ramadhan :)

Cousin Alif's Big Day

As promised, here's the post on my cousin Alif's and Hidayah's solemnization. It was held last two weeks, but now only I've got the time to write. Well, me being super late is fast becoming a norm, hehe.

Okay cut the crap. The solemnization was kind of a last minute plan actually. My aunt wanted to bring the couple to Mecca to perform the Umrah at the end of April so they decided to marry them a week before that instead of the actual plan which on September. Since it was last minute plan, both families agreed to held the solemnization first and the reception will be only around September.

Alif and Hidayah ties the knot at the comfort of the groom's house. It was such a simple and beautiful event filled with beautiful moments. It was so sweet to see everyone with their happy faces on, especially the bride and the groom. Like all typical Malay weddings, the event was started with the akad and then all the guests enjoyed the yummy food served. And oh, the camwhoring session of course.
